Background:
This course is designed to provide the APMP qualification for all delegates; there are 2 routes to the qualification:
APMP
A 5-day course is for all delegates wishing to gain the APMP qualification
APMP for PRINCE2®
A 3-day course for delegates who are already PRINCE2® Registered Practitioners wishing to gain the APMP qualification
Summary
APMP is an internationally recognised qualification recognising both technical project management and leadership skills.
APMP (aligned to IPMA Level D) is based on the APM Body of Knowledge, which is acknowledged in Europe as the standard for competencies appropriate for project managers. These competencies are considered fundamental to the professional management of projects. APMP is complementary to PRINCE2®.
APMP is a qualification recognised both nationally and internationally that successful candidates can carry from one job to another or from one industry to another.

Pre-Requisites
APMP & APMP for PRINCE2®
1-2 years experience of a project management environment
APMP for PRINCE2®
A current PRINCE2® Practitioner qualification
Course Format
The APMP and APMP for PRINCE2® training courses can be delivered both In-House and on our open schedule.
The courses are a mixture of input sessions and examination-based practical work, with feedback from the Tutor.

- Case Study and Exercises
- Mock examinations
Course Timings
The course will begin at 09.00 and end at 17.00. There will be a lunch break and further short breaks in the morning and afternoon.
Preparation & Homework
All delegates will receive the following:
- APM BooK
- Delegate Information Pack
- Delegate Workbook
Delegates should:
- Allow at least 6-8 hours to prepare for the course
- Expect about 2 hours of homework every evening.
Evidence of Identity
When attending the exam, delegates must present an official form of photographic identification. Delegates will not be eligible to sit the exam without this identification.
APMP Exam
- Delegates must answer essay style questions covering the 37 syllabus topics. There are no exemptions
- Candidates must answer 10 out of 16 questions
- Each question is worth 50 marks
- 3 hour Paper
- Pass Mark is 55% or 275 marks
APMP for PRINCE2 Exam
- Delegates must answer essay style questions covering 25 syllabus topics. There are exemptions from 12 of the 37 APMP topics
- Candidates must answer 6 out of 10 questions
- Each question is worth 50 marks
- 2 hour Paper
- Pass Mark is 55% or 165 marks
Exam Results
- The exam papers are marked by the APM who set the exam.
- Results are normally sent to delegates within 10 weeks of the examination.
- You will receive notification of your total mark and the score achieved for each question
Data Protection
Submission of your application form expressly provides permission for APM to supply relevant details about your examination, including results, to your training provider and employer where applicable. |
