Certified Professional Scrum Foundations

noc

Background

Professional Scrum Foundations (PSF) is a 2-day class that delivers the foundational knowledge needed to be successful with Scrum, the most popular agile software development framework. The Scrum.org designed class is highly practical, with a combination of instruction and team-based exercises, where students experience how the Scrum framework improves product development efforts through building “done” software (not Lego or paper prototypes).

After the class, students are eligible for the PSM I assessment. If you pass the assessment, you will gain the industry recognised PSM I certification. This certification will NEVER expire and make you part of an elite community of 60,000+ PSM I badge holders.

Course Objectives:

Over the 2 days, students are introduced to the mechanics of Scrum, gaining insights into overcoming complexity, dealing with team-based collaboration and self-organization as essential elements in mastering Scrum. Students work together as a team in a series of Sprints to build a software application, thereby facing real-life problems. The mechanics, roles, and principles of Scrum are leveraged during the exercises. From its emphasis on the practical application of Scrum, the course exposes common missteps and misunderstandings, so students grow a higher awareness of the associated symptoms. The course provides prescriptive guidance to avoid going off track and keep Scrum healthy.

Course Topics:

    • Fundamentals of Scrum
    • The Scrum Framework
    • Mastering Scrum
    • Planning with Scrum
    • Getting started

Certification:

All participants completing the Professional Scrum Foundations course will receive a password to attempt the PSM I assessment. The industry-recognized PSM certification requires a minimum passing score on this rigorous assessment.

Audience:

This course is perfect for organisations looking to ensure that all members of a Scrum team, plus their stakeholders, have the same understanding of Scrum. Whether you’re looking to get your Scrum initiative off on the right start or looking for a refresher for your teams, this is the right class for you.
