Business Development Intern

The Requirement:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and is Social Media savvy. The job requires efforts towards both market research and Global Sales. Successful person will be initially based in our Uxbridge (London) office but also be flexible to visit Mainland Europe, South East Asia and Middle East.

We are a business-to-business training and conference company specializing in the areas of Information Technology, business and management and financial modelling. Established in 1984, the company has considerable market reputation and serves a blue-chip client base, which includes 90% of FTSE top 100 companies, public sector and other large organizations. The company is seeking a dynamic and gold-oriented Business Development Executive to supplement the existing team in increasing revenues and helping the company grow. Its products include:

Ideal Candidate:
Candidates are expected to be self-starters, possessing good commercial sense and an entrepreneurial spirit. Marketing and/or Sales experience is advantageous but not essential. We have an active program of Career development and encourage learning and professional qualification. Someone with a positive sales approach -not 'pushy' but good at building relationships. Analytic skills to undertake research of lists, media, social media and on-line sources. A highly motivated individual with a positive and can-do attitude. Good at relating to people and being able to communicate effectively. Openminded and willing to learn new things. Excellent telephone manner. Business minded, quick thinker. Good with numbers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locating target persons through innovative research of media, social media and other channels
  • Making phone and/or email contact and pursue for their commitment or otherwise
  • Creating brand awareness through planning, managing and executing our Social Media strategy through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blogs
  • To test, run, analyse and manage marketing and social media campaigns
  • The role also includes writing email campaigns and brochure content.
  • Marketing and sales focused on Global events.
  • Growing/Building a professional network of contacts.
